This is Polybutylene. It has been recalled and delisted from the plumbing code. This means that if you have it in your home you will not have insurance coverage... as a matter of fact most insurance companies will make you remove it before they will insure the home. This is one example of why it is no longer allowed.

Just because you "can" do something doesn't mean you "should" do something. I mean what in the "holy big box store flex line hell" is going on here?!? Please leave it to the pros.

So I was on a form group for flat rate plumbers when the following question was raised... Does your crew work on commission? How is it structured? What rate do then make? The picture below is why I always say Don't do flat rate! The techs don't get paid the same because they are paid commission and get hugh bonuses for up selling to you. So the more they sell you the more they make.... not good for you the customer. ... Then to try and get you hooked they offer a discount if you "join" their club for so much per month. See more
