Look ma, I made it! I’m on TV!!! Lol! Ran a tester Kindermusik class via Zoom today for Sing Music Studio’s new online programming! We had about 11-12 participants and it was fabulous! Our teachers will be starting their private lessons shortly and we are all pumped about it! I’m so grateful for technology so that we can connect with our Sing Music Studio family to keep us all moving, grooving and maintain our mental health during this time! Today was the end of an era... Gertie, this beautiful piano, was sent into retirement at age 116! The story goes... when my mom was a little girl, my grandparents bought this lovely piano for her to learn to play on. When my sisters and I were children, we then learned to play on it. As an adult, she was passed on to me about 12 years ago. I bestowed the name Gertie on her (an old piano needed an old name) and after a few years she became my sole teaching piano, moving with us from Port Credit when we bought our first house. In August she moved into @singmusicstudio and became the teaching piano in room 3. Sadly the school wasn’t the ideal home for her and today she retired to my sister’s home in Hamilton where she will be well taken care of. I’ll miss you Gertie and will visit often! @kristingaler loves Gertie just as much as me!
