Monday’s are my day out of the salon. I am however often in my sewing room. Anyone in need of a face mask? Regular double sided cotton masks with a pocket are $5 I also have a few with lips I have put on them. These are $7. Also all cotton and with a pocket for a filter.

To all my wonderful clients: Friday June 5th is my first day back in the salon, and I understand you may have questions regarding your upcoming appointment. Let me help ease your mind by letting you know what I’ve done to keep you and I safe and healthy. Manespot Salon is in 100% compliance with all new guidelines and safety standards defined by the Government of Nova Scotia and the Cosmetology Association of NS.... We have: * Cleaned and disinfected all surfaces and implements. * Laundered and/or disinfected all capes, towels and linens. * Removed any non-essential items throughout our business. * Initiated contactless methods of scheduling and payment. * Acquired appropriate personal protective equipment to be used when necessary or requested. * Discontinued the practice of hand shaking and other non-essential contact. * Re-trained and industry certified on essential infection control and hygiene practices. What I will be doing between clients: * Sweeping hair. * Remove all used towels and capes. * Dispose of any single use gloves, paper towel etc. * Disinfect all equipment and combs, brushes, scissors etc. * Wipe all surfaces down with disinfectant. * Wash my hands and put on a clean mask. What to do when you arrive: * Please arrive on time for your appointment. If early, please wait outside or in your vehicle until your appointment time. * Kindly knock on the door to ensure that I’m here alone to let me know you have arrived. You may need to wait outside for a moment until disinfection procedures are complete. * If you do not have a face mask I’ll have one here, one will be provided. ( disposables are available for color services to avoid color stains on your fabric masks) * Please use the hand sanitizer station once you have entered the salon, or use our restroom to wash hands with water and soap. What you my valued clients can expect: * I will have bins made up for each client containing what I’ll need for each of you. Freshly laundered towels, a cape and anything else specific to your appointment. * Freshly disinfected brushes and combs. * You can now pay with debit or credit! (including tap for services under $100). Cash is still accepted, but for the initial relaunch we will not be able to make change. * Things should start to feel like business as usually once you are in my chair. * I encourage you all to try our new booking app powered by Square as it is super easy and convenient for both of us. We can as always book your next visit while you are here, but with the booking app, you can see appointment availability. Lastly, as much as I love all our visits and chats, I will need to keep us on schedule. By respecting your time, my time and the next customer waiting, I will be able to ensure our rigorous cleaning protocols are adhered to between clients, and nobody feels as though they need to wait.
