A little story for you on this Monday morning. Ever since I was in highschool I dreamed of being a designer. Unfortunately at the time my dad had told me it was not a real career choice and I wouldn’t get anywhere with it. I graduated and spent time trying to find my calling. Nothing else felt like the right fit for me so when I was 18 I applied and was accepted into an interior design school back in Vancouver. I would have started the following spring but there was a new t...wist to the plan; I found out I was pregnant. Being young, and naive I didn’t feel like I could take on such a demanding program and a newborn so I put my all into being the best teen mom I could be. In the back of my head I still had the burning desire to achieve my dreams but had to be creative and take it on in an unconventional way. I have spent the last few years educating myself, being mentored, and gaining experience to successfully be able to run a design firm. It has taken a huge amount of determination and sacrifice to have gotten to where I am. And now that little newborn I had has grown into the most handsome boy. We have promised ourselves as parents to always guide our children to pursue their dreams. I hope Lennon sees how hard I’ve worked to start something and it motivates him to do whatever his heart is set on. @everylittlethingphotography

Styled shelves create a point of interest and provide a space for bringing textures and tones together in the room. So who is now decorating their shelves for Christmas? Normally I would be but with living in our basement there is no room for anything else.
