Did you know that screen 'savers' are actually power wasters and they use the same amount of power as an active screen? They were originally designed to protect computer monitors from discolouration but due to advances in display technology they're no longer needed. Turn off your screen saver and simply change your computer settings to turn your monitor off after a period of inactivity. Everything you had open will still be there when you return and you'll have saved energy while you're computer was inactive.
