Fight for $15 and Fairness Manitoba 23.11.2020

SIGN THE PETITION: Workers need HELP. Our elected leaders are failing us provincially and federally. Too many of us can't "flatten the COVID-19 curve" because we don't have the paid emergency leave or income support we need to do so. ... Epidemiologists now know that the window for containing the virus is very narrow. Every hour we delay in making it possible for each and every one of us to stay home when we are sick, or practice social distancing, is an hour in which COVID-19 will spread. Ordering closures without income supports for workers will turn this health emergency into an economic crisis. Tell the Prime Minister and your Premier: workers need HELP. Visit www.15andFairness.org to sign and share the petition. For more info about the emergency HELP we need: http://bit.ly/2x5cX5J

Great coverage of our solidarity picket yesterday in the Winnipeg Free Press! Thanks to everyone who came out! "I think it's important to recognize that what they're doing is incredibly brave, to stand up to their employer and demand more," she said. "The only way that workers will ever make advances like that is through organizing." https://www.winnipegfreepress.com//locked-out-tim-hortons-

BREAKING Lombard location Tim Hortons in Winnipeg has lifted the lockout. @workersunitedcanada organizer Andy Spence says workers will return to work on Monday, resume bargaining, but still have a strike mandate. The workers do not yet have a deal, and may return to the picket line if there is still no movement on the extra 10 cents they are asking for, but this is a good step forward. Solidarity! #manitoba #timhortons #winnipeg

We had a great time picketing today with Tim Horton's workers locked out by their employer over a ten cent raise! Please do not buy coffee from the Tim Horton's in the Richardson building and show solidarity with the workers! If you could not make it today, the workers will be picketing from 9-1pm tomorrow as well in the underground portage & main pedestrian loop.
