Dear Friends of the Manitoba Ukrainian Dance Festival, After much consideration and careful review of all information pertaining to COVID-19 the Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Ensemble Board of Directors has decided to postpone the 8th annual Manitoba Ukrainian Dance Festival scheduled for March 20 22, 2020. This decision comes from the announcement by the Province of Manitoba to cancel and postpone any large-scale events with more than 250 attendees. This will help reduce prolo...nged (more than 10 minutes), close (less than two metres) contact between other individuals in public. At this time, the Manitoba Ukrainian Dance Festival will be postponed. The board of directors will review our decision on April 17, 2020. It is our hope that we will be able to host the festival dependent on directives from the Province of Manitoba as well as availability of venues. Due to the decision of postponement, registration fees (entries and instructor workshop) will not be refunded at this time. It is our plan to transfer these fees to the potential future date. Details pertaining to this will follow after April 17, 2020. Members of the public who have purchased tickets through Eventbrite for the Sunday, March 22, 2020 Showcase Performance will be refunded the cost of their tickets in the coming days. Please be patient with us as we navigate the system to issue direct refunds. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty. Good morning, I have received many calls and emails asking about the status of this year's Manitoba Ukrainian Dance Festival. While a final decision has not yet been made by Troyanda's board of directors, please know we are diligently following the situation and recommendations from the Province of Manitoba. The health and safety of our registrants and their families is our top priority.... A board meeting is being held on Friday, March 13 at which time a final decision will be made and communicated.
