Sexual assault can happen to ANYONE. That's why we all need to be educated about consent, and know what to do if you've been affected. Whether or not you wish t...o fi le a police report, OPP and partners including Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres can support you through this difficult time. Whenever you are ready to tell your story, whether it is months or even years after the assault occurred, the OPP Victim Response Support Unit will be there to provide compassionate support and to connect you with resources in your com muni ty. However, it is import ant to note that the sooner a report is made, the greater the chances of finding and preserving evidence that may link the accused to the crime.
