Our coaches have been working hard to develop virtual programs to keep our swimmers engaged during this challenging time. This week, we started our partnership with Head to Head to provide our competitive swimmers with a Mentorship Program! Head to Head is a Canadian Program founded by 2x Olympian Martha McCabe that connects Olympic athletes with the champions of tomorrow.... Manta will be taking part in a 6-week virtual program with the goals to: 1. Help swimmers stay motivated through the winter with so few competitions happening. 2. Provide some relief and tangible tools to manage the uneasiness and anxiety present will all the uncertainties. 3. Each year awards are made from The Victor Davis Memorial Fund to assist young Canadian swimmers to continue their training, education, and pursuit of excellence at the international level of competition. Great weekend at Junior Provincials ends with our team winning the Marvin MacDonald Large Team Award. Every Manta swimmer in the meet was able to contribute some points towards our victory.
