Dear Manx Community/Customers, we just wanted to reach out and update folks on what we are doing in response to the global Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic. At this time, the health and safety of our guests and employees continues to be our highest priority. Every effort is being made to reduce any risk and prevent the spread of COVID-19, and we will continue to do everything we can to provide the best and safest possible guest experience. To do this, we have implemented heighte...ned cleanliness standards at the Manx (frequent handwashing, surface cleaning, dish, cutlery, glassware, point of sale and payment equipment etc.). Each of our staff are also carrying home this strict diligence with respect to cleanliness. Staff have been ordered to stay home if feeling the least bit unwell, and particularly if they are demonstrating any symptoms (dry cough, shortness of breath, fever and headache and muscle pain and tiredness), they are to seek out testing. To the best of our ability, we are also implementing social distancing with respect to seating customers. If you are interested in heading out to the Manx for a meal, please consider doing this in smaller numbers, as opposed large groups, and coming in during off peak hours 1pm-5pm (Monday to Friday). This may be a more comfortable option for you as it likely will be easier for us to apply social distancing with respect to seating during these periods. And please follow the government’s recommendation to self-isolate if you have been travelling internationally. If you would like to support the sustainability of our business but do not want to dine in, we would be happy to offer takeout for those craving any Manx deliciousness. If you would like to order take-out, please call us at 613-231-2070. If you have an exact payment in cash, call when you arrive to pick it up, and we can even run it out to your car. Also, for the time-being, we will be closing between 10p.m. and 11p.m. each evening depending on how busy we are at these times. We will also be limiting the number of patrons at any one time so that we can maintain some degree of social distancing. As we are sure you can appreciate, we need to adjust our hours and staffing levels to do our best to ensure that we remain financially sustainable over the coming months. We will not, however, introduce measures that will compromise food or service quality, or employee and customer heath and safety. We will be assessing this rapidly evolving situation and posting any updates as they arise. Please take care and be calm, patient and kind to and with yourselves, and to one another. We appreciate your patience and loyalty to the Manx. Together we will get through this. -The Manx

One of my favourite works from Donnell Taylor 's show, currently on view at the @manxpub until the end of September. Crisper evening weather means it's time to get back to your beloved basement pub for a Guinness. See you there!
