When we started Maple & Grain we had a very hard time seeing ourselves as artists. For years we’ve described ourselves as Crafters, Makers and Hobbyists, but never artists. We felt like we didn’t deserve the title, because what makes someone an artist? Do you guys know!? What we do know is that we love drawing, watercolour and woodworking, if that makes us artists, cool , but for now you can call us Maple & Grain and this year we plan to ‘Create Without Fear’.
