Proud of our contribution to this major publication by the federal government. They listened with some very specific accessibility recommendations! I see they ...also enshrined some of their words emphasizing to strengthen accessibility in telecommunications and broadcasting for accessibility groups according to the #AccessibleCanada Act. Accessibility for Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of hearing is mentioned throughout as well. Later I will paste quotes & specifics. Yay they are listening! Now it is time for CRTC to ACT. I personally enjoyed engaging with one of the panelists on the legislative review team, simply because she knew what was important having seen us (DWCC, CADASC, CNSDB) appear multiple times at CRTC - Canadian Radio-television Telecommunications Commission public proceedings. She did ask the hard questions and we answered in policy and legislative speak. A long but enlightening read for those interested in human rights, accessibility, telecom & broadcasting in Canada https://www.ic.gc.ca//BTLR_Eng-V3.pdf/$file/BTLR_Eng-V3.pdf
