We would like to extend our congratulations to the Spinks’s family. Journey has accomplished the title of Service Dog in Training after four weeks of work!

*We are not currently funding for this project as it needs further development* Big news moving forward with MMDTRC, at the latest (2030), we will still have these services, however, we will be adding a new branch called "Dogs with Jobs". I am going back to the root of where I started rehabilitating dogs, and I started out with aggression and reactivity.... How this fits? I will be taking dogs from Canada (to start), maybe other countries later on. I am going to go to shelters and collect the dogs most likely to be euthanized whether it is a breed judgement, or reactivity/aggression and give those dogs a job. We will also be taking purebreds from breeders for the unfortunate times when a dog is not what the breeder imagined and they are discarded, sometimes even put down - luckily this is a rare occurrence but our doors will be open to take in any of these dogs. The reason so many dogs bark, snarl, and growl when we go to visit these adoptable dogs is because they have so much built up energy and cannot contain it. Now, where these dogs will go... on an adventure worth living. Police/military K9s, canine actors/performers, family dogs, scent detection, service/therapy/emotional support dogs, dog sports, and much more. Eventually (probably closer to 2030), I am going to aim these hard working, rehabilitated dogs to the mental health community. Whether therapy dogs visit hospitals or patients (inpatient and outpatient), or high school kids are looking to fill their 40 hours of community service, the goal is to have as many people come to the ranch and feel like a new person, because the dogs will be new versions of themselves.
