Maple Reinders undertook the Phase 2 and 3 extension to the Nova Cold Storage Logistics existing facility in Calgary. Construction of the 134,000 SF freezer/cold storage warehouse utilized reinforced concrete strip footings and pads, structural steel, insulated metal panels, SBS roofing and some mechanical and electrical scope to tie into the existing facility. We used BIM 3D Modeling to plan and visualize the construction for the Chartwell Head Office. As one of our most challenging and innovative projects to date, our Virtual Construction team was able to use technology to coordinate the complex implementation and really bring the project to life. Chartwell’s new corporate headquarters is located on a five-acre greenfield site and Maple Reinders was responsible for both the base building and the interior outfitting. The three-stor...ey building has a total office area of approximately 126,500 SF, with structured parking below. The building will feature open plan offices to maximize natural daylight, a cafeteria/training auditorium, kitchen/servery, fitness amenities, a second floor atrium overlook and a green ‘liveroof’ terrace. Maple Reinders recently was awarded the Design-Build contract for the construction of a 407.000 SF distribution warehouse at iPort Caledon. Once constructed, this will be The Beer Store's new distribution facility.

#MapleON recently completed the third and final phase of the development of The Village of Taunton Mills in Whitby, Ontario. Maple Reinders' work consisted of an eight-storey tower with two separate three-story wings and one level of underground parking - this phase also included a variety of amenity spaces.

Maple Reinders is presently constructing another addition to FIO Automotive Canada Corporation’s existing automotive manufacturing facility in Stratford, Ontario. This 73,000 SF addition will house a new locker room, overhead crane runways, two new blanking presses with an underground scrap conveyor tunnel connecting the presses.

Maple Reinders' National Health and Safety Manager, Craig Sparks, participated in a recent League of Champions Safety webinar among other Safety leaders within the industry. They shared their companies' best practices amongst each other to ensure all contractors survive and thrive through the next phases on this COVID-19 pandemic. The 16,588 SF youth centre connects to the existing Trinity Baptist Church located next door by an elevated, enclosed walkway. Maple Reinders’ Kelowna team is currently working on the upgrades to the Okanagan Lake Pump Station and Treatment System in Lake Country, British Columbia with substantial completion targeted for March 2021. The project involves two main components, a new concrete building complete with a UV disinfection system, as well as upgrades to the existing pump station at Okanagan Lake. #ProgressUpdate - #MapleBC is presently constructing the NationWide Self Storage facility and Car Wash Facility in Kamloops, British Columbia. The Car Wash Facility is an eco-friendly express car wash, which makes use of over 80% recycled and filtered water in the design. This new 64,559 SF Self-Storage Facility will be three-storeys with 450 storage units, and room for future expansion to 800+ units with sky lockers. ... Maple Reinders' Kelowna team recently completed the upgrades to the existing Waste Water Treatment Facility in Grand Forks, British Columbia. With the completion of the new WWTF upgrades, Grand Forks can now dewater their wastewater solids and improve their lagoons and can produce a cleaner effluent that discharges from the facility to the nearby Kettle River. The upgrades also provide the facility with some protection from potential flooding of the Kettle River. #Interesti...ngFact - The actual start-up and commissioning of the dewatering equipment have not happened yet, because the technician from Pieralisi needs to travel from the USA. #MapleON almost has all the exterior facade installed on the 71,000 square foot new three-storey Bluebird Self-Storage facility in Mono, Ontario. The facade incorporates a combination of Tuff-Cast panels, vertical and horizontal insulated metal panels and curtainwall glazing.

On Friday, June 5th, Maple Reinders participated in the #LunchBoxChallenge and provided boxed lunches from a @barangasonthebeach on the Beach, a local restaurant to all the workers on our Hamilton Main Pumping Station Project site on Woodward Avenue in Hamilton, Ontario. Maple Reinders wanted to carry this great initiative over from the Buildings sector to the Civil/Environmental sector to show our appreciation for everyone's efforts onsite working through these unprecedented times. We appreciate everyone onsite working hard and following all the new health and safety measures to ensure all the job sites stay sanitized and clean.
