Honouring our fallen is a tradition we uphold with great pride. The south lawns of the BC Legislature, where our monument stands, is a place for us to respect a...nd remember. On March 8, 2021, we would have been gathering in Victoria to stand side by side to honour our 24 fallen members. For now, we will remember together, with a virtual tribute video. Today's evening shift change marked the retirement of Steve Cotter from the Maple Ridge Fire Department. Unfortunately, we've had to postpone the party, but that doesn't change how we all feel about Steve. On behalf of the department, IAFF 4449, and the citizens of Maple Ridge, we’d like to thank Steve for over 22 years of service to this community.
