Maple Ridge Ultimate League

Hi MRU! It is that time of year again! The MRU AGM will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 @ 12 pm. This AGM will be important for determining what our 2021 season looks like and we could use your input even if you do not want to join the board. An agenda for the meeting will be shared closer to the date. A few board positions will become available as some current board members are not seeking re-election. If you are interested in joining the MRU Board, please consider do...ing so! The time commitment for being a Board member is small, but it has great potential to positively impact MRU going forward. If you have any questions, or are interest but unable to attend the AGM, please contact us. VUL Community Spotlight: Melissa Woodward Melissa has been the coordinator for Maple Ridge Ultimate since 2017, and is also a longtime player, coach, instructor... and mentor. In the words of the person who nominated her: She is someone I really admire when it comes to SOTG and I think that she brings it everywhere with her - while playing on league and touring teams, mentoring for women's league or coaching VUL bootcamps, or when running the Maple Ridge Ultimate League. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Gareth Reardon, a long standing member of the Maple Ridge Ultimate community. Gareth will be remembered fondly for his fun attitude, his great throws, but most importantly his dedication to his family.
