This guy!!..... He’s had Well Over 20 shoulder dislocations, Multiple surgeries/scopes... Latest dislocation was just last year! He’s mixed Chiropractic treatment, prolotherapy, and strength training in to his life, and Voila!!! We’ve been training together for over 7 months.... slow and steady=results! With the proper rehab anything can be achieved!
Being injured is horrible. It sets you back... the body AND the mind. Keep your head up! Know that with time, and the proper rehab you CAN get back at it! This is Spyros- in Feb 2017 he fell on an ice patch resulting in a full tear of his subscapularis muscle (shoulder). A year later, and after a lot of rehab (working with Dr. Sheena, and myself) he’s back to full mobility! So incredibly proud of this guy!
This is Joan- my client/my friend. Joan has rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and several auto immune issues. She comes to train with me 2x/week religiously. She never knows how her body will be when she wakes up....'Some days are perfect and everything is great, other days it's like my body is fighting itself all day long and it's on fire'. What seems to be consistent, is at the end of each session she feels really good!....Her body has moved, her mind is more positiv...e, and she's ready for her day. Every single session this gal gives it her all. Joan is a complete inspiration to me! Exercise is for everyone...No excuses!

Tuesday done right! Nothing like a 6am butt kicking! (I think I got her good today)
She walked through the doors with super low energy. She took that workout on, and absolutely KILLED it! Extremely inspirational! Sheena.... you're a rock star! The power of exercise!

We're on a roll!!...More Squatters! Everyone, meet Layla! She wins for Most Improved, as she just started her gym journey less than 3 months ago! She's insanely committed and is killing it in her workouts! Completely different gal from when she walked through the doors on day 1! Way to go, chicky!!
Oh, it's on!!..Tom from Mondays squat nominated Ms Sheena! This lady ROCKED the weights! She's a focused one!... killing her workouts!! It's turning into a 'smile on your last rep of your last set' Challenge...definitely not easy to do- but it's being done!!

Friday Challenge! As Many Rounds As Possible in 20 minutes: 5 Burpees, 10 Push Press, 15 Air Squats, 20 Sit Ups, 1 Set of Stairs. Start your timers....Aaaaaand GO!!

Nutrition plays a HUGE part!!! Watch what you fuel your body with, portion correctly, do you cardio, and strength train.... Poof!!!.... The magic potion!:)
Completely a Love/Hate relationship...Definitely more Hate than Love!! We don't have to like everything that's good for us!
POSTURE: It's Super Important to be aware of your posture. Those annoying words from our parents growing up...'sit up straight'!, 'stop slouching!'...guess what?? They were right, and we need to listen! Challenge of the day: Be aware of your shoulders and your neck... Don't let those shoulders creep up to your ears. It's extremely common to have raised shoulders when sitting at the computer, or when we have too much on our mind. ... Be aware... Relax those shoulders. When driving be aware of where your neck is... Tuck your chin in. We all push our heads out that extra inch to see the sign coming up.... That's NOT going to make the sign any more clear however, that WILL cause negative issues with your body!! Proper posture/alignment is extremely important in everyday life and especially while lifting weights or doing cardio at the gym. It's so easy to hurt yourself by not keeping proper alignment especially with heavy weights in your hands. Something to think about on this lovely Thursday:)
