The last couple of years we have helped make sandwiches on Christmas Eve in our kitchen. Why? Because a very kind customer of ours, Gary, takes these sandwiches out all over Edmonton on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning for the homeless there. Thank you so much to Gary and also thank you very much to some Christmas elves that came in to help prepare these this afternoon!

Hey everone Danna here...or speedy, or Energizer, or zippy, or the really short one, if you will.....I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone that placed an order with us tonight. Be it pick-up, delivery or dine in. Thank you so so very much!! It was a busy last night for us. Delivery times were well over an hour, and yet, no one seemed to mind. At one point in the restaurant, i was run off my feet until Terry and Danika (taller danna apparently) came to my rescue.... You guys keep us going, we live, essentially, to make our customers happy. Without you guys, there is no Marcis!! Or any other small business for that matter. Please through out these trying times, help your neighbors, and contribute to the well being of the little people. Goodness knows we could all need a little more right now. No matter what "more" is. I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, and hopefully the happiest of Newyears!! I hope to see you all in a month

Once again we are unfortunately having to close our dining room (and as of Sunday 13th we will be providing pick up and delivery only). And as we aren’t able to get together for big dinners again on one of the biggest days of the year, Marcis is offering a Christmas dinner for pick up Christmas Day from 4.30pm-5.30pm!! As we did with our Easter dinner we will be offering the meals for FREE to anyone who needs it.... If you would like a turkey dinner plate and are able to pay then we will be accepting donations (no set amount, just whatever you are able to pay). Please call in advance (780 987 0244) so we know approximately how many dinners we will need to prepare (we don’t want anyone missing out). (Just a note our regular menu won’t be available Christmas Day, but it will be available every other day over the Christmas period.) Please let the restaurant know by the 23rd December if you’d like a turkey dinner. Just to make sure we have time to get everything prepared and enough turkey for everyone We really appreciate all the support we’ve had from our customers this year. Our restaurant is open for dine in! Here are a few current changes so you know what to expect when you come in..... because of the rules we do have limited seating available and we will be making sure everyone is sat at a distance from the neighbouring tables. We will advice you the best place to sit when you come in. Our staff will be wearing masks and we have hand sanitizer at the front doors and up at the till that we encourage you to use. We ask you please don’t visit ...our restaurant if you are feeling unwell. And of course our pick up and delivery service is still available for anyone just wanting to dine at home and for people who simply aren’t ready to dine out yet. We just want to say a huge thank you to our community for all the donations! We served around 120 dinners tonight and after adding up donations the total was just under $2000! Terry is adding some more to make the total an even $2000, to be donated between the Devon hospital and the University Hospital! We hope everyone enjoyed their Easter dinner, I know I did

The turkeys are in the oven and we have enough for the dinners ordered, but we don’t want to promise dinners to people and not be able to provide that if we run out.
