A few weeks ago, Kim Ferguson, a grade 3 teacher at Riverside School in Cape Breton, NS, reached out to me to see if we could chat about the design for the Nation Healing Forest. A "Meet the Artist," if you will. Of course I said yes! So, I had the absolute pleasure of talking with her and her class about the design. I'm both honored and humbled for their interest and very kind words about my work, and for wanting to learn more about the inspiration behind it and to share ...their own thoughts of the symbolism within the artwork.
