My HAPPY PLACE! Sharing my passion for the benefits that the power of touch can have in the growth & development of babies & children has been a passion of mine for almost 3 decades! Working to help educate & empower new parents who want the best for their children is so rewarding! ... One thing I know from years of experience & being a parent, the onus is on ME to earn the respect of the Littles that I have the privilege of treating! That can mean getting creative in the treatment room! This past week I massaged the tummy of Raphael the mutant ninja turtle in order to convince an adorable 3 year old boy that he too should let me massage his belly so he would feel better! Stay tuned for my video about this adorable story and the treatment room antics I get up to in order to ensure that my patients of all ages get the MOST out of their treatment! I was thrilled to also be able to treat adorable little William with the dolphin on the #sp1kemat yesterday while doing tummy time to promote physical literacy! We even encouraged William’s adorable and doting sister Julianna to tenderly massage her little brother thus promoting a stronger sibling bond! Oh my

Who needs to be reminded of this today? We are what we focus on! Be kind to YOU! We all stumble but let’s focus on the RISING! That is where we build resiliency!

Although we may have had to adjust to ensure everyone’s safety during Covid, we were determined to ensure another family tradition was kept this year. We couldn’t go to a restaurant after cutting down our tree as we do every year but with some innovation, a huge tarp and some determination we hosted an outdoor lunch! What a great way to end off the week! A busy clinic day, treating & empowering our patients at @wallis4wellness to play an active role in their health! Finished off the day with an interview for Halton News, advocating for our profession & celebrating the important role that it plays in our healthcare system & improving the health of Canadians! ... I LOVE wearing two hats- Passionate RMT/Healthcare Professional Committed educator & advocator to help create change in our healthcare system while empowering Canadians to become the CEO of their health. It is long overdue that we shift our mindsets from a pill for an ill approach to one that it more preventative & proactive! We are #bettertogetherasone!
