Mother’s day just passed and I truly enjoyed my special day with my kids & husband. It did make me miss my mother so much, so I just wanted to send a little love to all the women out there who perhaps didn’t get to experience this day the way they wished they had.

I visited the Stone Tile International store earlier this week because I wanted to tell you more about the Laminam countertops. Although it might not be obvious to your eye - those counters are break, strain, heat and scratch-proof. They go places where your marble and quartz don’t. The high-tech engineered stone (Laminam) has been gaining so much popularity that many of my clients ask me to know more!... Although a bit pricier than natural stones, it's the no-brainer solution for the active family that wants a worry-free solution! Would you consider a high-tech stone for your kitchen?

Project #BeforeAndAfter KIDS BATHROOM renovation \\ By demolishing the linen closet that was at the end of the bathtub, I was able to create so much more space for my client and move the toilet next to the bath. As you can see in the bold transformation photos, that gave us the other wall to work with! ... We were able to ‘’hide’’ the toilet behind the door (so even when it’s open we cannot see it)! & then I was able to create a complete double sink setup for the kids and a lot of new storage! Win-win & win!

The planning is probably the most important part of any interior designer’s job. Here are some of my tips when in the planning stages of your design (with a designer or alone): Measure everything... Place tape to better visualize Keep in mind the usage and purpose of the space Don’t forget storage Think of the small details (hardware, type of paint, etc) Run it by someone else who might be more emotionally disconnected (if you aren’t working with a designer) Do you agree?

Backyard transformation! This house is ready for summer! We started from far as you can see! Once the city gave us the permission, we cut the old (and not very aesthetic) trees which were also slowly damaging the house. We were left with this amazing blank slate to work with!... My clients wishes were to have a nice lounge area that’s comfortable and everlasting. We were able to achieve just that! Lounge area to relax, dining table and still a lot of green space left for the kids to play! Cheers!

The 2 Pantone colors of the year! PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating A true classic gray and this soft, yet vibrant yellow that we’ve seen gain popularity over the last year! ... Are you team gray or team yellow? I love both but I do have to say that I find the gray SO elegant.
