We are seeking a full time interior design assistant / office administrator to join our team. JOB DESCRIPTION: Participate in the development of concepts, designs and client presentations. Provide administrative support to the Principal/Senior Interior Designer.... Design Assistant tasks include preparing concept development, working drawings, design documents, responding to emails, formatting budgets/planning documents, picking up samples/swatches, sourcing design images, on-site measurements + booking meetings as well as attending design meetings as required. Office tasks include general office administration, general admin related to social media, taking phone calls, handling correspondence, maintaining the sample library, greeting product reps, organizing meetings, helping source products, etc.. Ability to bend & lift, unpack & arrange the following: samples, project materials, furnishings, boxes and other items as required (occasionally can be heavy items). Ability to work with the design team(s) or independently on tasks as required, often in a fast paced environment. Assist marketing & social media. General office organization (including samples, tidying, recycling/trash removal). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education - must have completed high school or equivalent & secondary administrative training or equivalent experience Administrative experience - Minimum 2-4 years Superior written and verbal communication skills Knowledge in Google Calender/Mail & DropBox Knowledge of Pages/Numbers Knowledge of Revit, Sketchup or VW would be beneficial Basic knowledge in Wordpress, Facebook and Instagram Valid BC Drivers’ licence and car QUALITIES: Outgoing and friendly demeanour Problem solving skills, strong attention to detail, and motivation to learn Excellent organizational and time management skills Keen attention to detail Demonstrate creative abilities and applied problem-solving skills. Our new sofa didn't fit in the elevator to the top floor so we hired 2 not so Burley-Burley Men who did an amazing job getting it up the stairs. Would highly recommend them! Fast and Polite!
