Be encouraged: you’re not alone. Seeing an example of a complete capsule wardrobe can be helpful. If you’d like some direction, this article is for you. I’ve outlined the garments and accessories that make up my arsenal for Project 333.... The kicker is moving from seeing to building with confidence. If you're combing your closet and joining me for Project 333 (or you're reassessing your closet just because) here's a useful in-depth summary of a basic principle I teach all my clients: ALWAYS be prepared. It's a must-read for anyone who wants to master the art of strategic shopping and wardrobe building. I hope you like it!
Great news if your eyes need a break from your to-do list! There's a feel-good story on the blog that pairs nicely with eggnog and midday breaks. It involves a mildew-covered violin, a tenacious 23-year-old, and the gift of new life. This beloved Congo family Christmas story reminds me that just because something is old does not make it worthless. With a bit of creativity and TLC, almost everything old can be new again. I challenge you to view your wardrobe through this lens before the year is out. Happy reading! xo, Marilee

Hands up if you want to eliminate holiday wardrobe stress! (Me too.) If December already has you maxed, don't let party clothes steal any more precious resources. Save time, energy, and money by planning ahead and keeping things simple and strategic. Here's my stress-free approach to dressing the part for garden-variety special occasions.
True or false: your body is on the list of things you’re grateful for. A recent conversation with a friend struck a chord. It’s the inspiration behind my latest blog, a reflection on loving the body you’re in. I hope you like it.

How will you visually express that? Check it out!
Now that’s confidence. That’s freedom. That’s JOY!
Things have been a little quiet here lately. Some much needed rest and some quiet introspection have resulted in the recent story on the blog. What a trip!
The smallest detail can make the biggest difference! The major takeaway for a Wardrobe Style Assessment client? Sleeve length!! Her pile of alterations largely exist of things that need the sleeve length shortened.... On any body but ESPECIALLY on a petite frame, a detail like appropriate sleeve lengths take a look from hohum to dynamite!
What’s your happy color? Not sure? It’s that color that shows up time and again all over your life; the red car, the red teapot, the red shoes, the red coat!! People are consistent. Do a walk-through of your home and closet. Let me know what color you see repeated over and over again.... Today’s a red day! Grabbing this red handbag as I head out this morning!!
