In our Facebook post, we wanted to talk about how Marine Sewing got started. In 2012, we bought our first boat (Beneteau 423) and joined the Mimico Cruising Club in Toronto. After the other club members found out about our 30-year experience in sewing, we started getting our first orders for boat canvases In 2014, we decided to sail our boat to the Caribbean and maybe even start a new business there. Soon enough we realized that cruising and working do not go well toge...ther. Once we got back from that trip, we launched our Marine Sewing shop in Toronto. Even though we knew our way around the sewing machine, we took an additional course at Cleveland State University cause you’re never too good to learn. That’s when our @marinesewing.ca business really took off.
