Moving day! Change is in the wind ... well, in the truck, to be more exact. Life is full of changes, especially these days. How you respond to it is up to you. Something #positive out if every event, right? Sometimes it takes time to see "the gift", but it's always there. I promise. #resiliency #communication #leadership

My father's Grobb roots reach back over 200 years in the Niagara, Ontario region. Yup, we are definitely Canadian :) Funny how the past #communicates through records and heritage. Every family member has a story. I'm amused that my interest in history becomes more pronounced the older I get ... perhaps because I'm becoming history myself, lol.

This pic you see is the email I received yesterday from Lococo's deli store. I was so impressed with their proactive approach, I emailed them back to let them know TIP: when you think someone is doing something right, let them know. That makes you a #leader who knows how to #communicate. HERE'S THE EMAIL I SENT THEM IN RESPONSE TO THEIR NOTICE ABOUT FACE MASKS:... Dear Lococo's, thank you for clarifying that those with medical conditions must wear a face mask! A couple weeks ago I dared to ask a fellow Lococo's client at the checkout next me why he wasn't wearing his mask that was around his neck instead of being pulled up and he almost physically attacked me at your store, claiming he had a medical condition and shoving a fake mask exempt card in my face (there is no such card issued by any government or medical authorities). He was overly aggressive. I was scared. I have an immune-compromised system So I especially appreciate you insisting on this! Thank you!

Working for something is good. For about 4 days now, my husband and I have been packing and trekking to and from our new town home with small boxes and personal items. Bit by bit, our home is being moved. Every couple days I take photos up the various rooms we're clearing out just so I remember and appreciate. We're both exhausted, but it will definitely be worth it next week when the movers come, we finally get our furniture in there, and we can sit in front of the fireplace and enjoy. When was the last time you really worked hard for something? But it felt good :)
