Sad, tough day. Today we lost our brother, friend and someone we were proud to know. Ken Monkhouse was a kind, gentle, compassionate and loving person. Wheth...er it was having dinner at Montana's with Nic his wife and his boys or doing a tough job with Adam , Rob, Dean, Phil T, Ray , Braeden, Arie, Pat or other Mario's teammates, Ken was always full of fun. He spent countless hours with Adam and his Hope team. They truly knew him. His quirky personality , love of his family, cats and his Buick made him one of a kind. Ken will be missed by his close friends and people who knew him. Out of respect to Ken we will minimize our social media activity about Ken. His close companions know he wanted away from the TV show etc. We will keep our great memories and appreciation for a guy we joke was a "pain in the butt" but man did we love him. Mario's will work on organizing a time to laugh and remember Ken when we are able. Of course we will have Chinese food, primerib or BBQ Ribs (Ken's go to) We miss you Ken. You will always be missed.

The Mario's Towing family is proud to introduce our newest addition. Our First Hybrid Truck!!!! This is the first Electric Hybrid tow truck sold in the Okanaga...n, BC and from what the body manufacturer says Canada. Unit #8 is a hybrid diesel truck that utilizes stand alone batteries to assist the engine and brake system. It can be considered having Electric capabilities as it recharges these batteries throughout the day as it operates. It also has an Idle shut off at lights and can reduce fuel usage by 30-35%. We are very proud as we aim to lower our carbon footprint and push to be an industry leader.
