Happy Feb 1! It always feels like a congratulations is in order for making it through January I wrapped up this New Build Concept in January and am still obsessed with this 1/2 bath and mudroom!

Kids rooms are so fun to design! I’m working on my sons big boy room (transitioning from a crib). I can’t wait to share when it’s all done!

Happy Saturday! With a Friday design presentation gone well it feels good to enjoy the weekend! We finally got some snow here, so we are planning to get out and enjoy it! What are your plans for the weekend?

Confession time - Shelf styling has not been something to come naturally for me. I love love love choosing finishes but styling a shelf makes me sweat! It’s taken practice but I’ve found a few tricks that make it much less stressful! - Keeping your color palette neutral. It’s hard to style a bunch of colored items and make it feel cohesive - Layers! Layering height and depth gives you a collected look and fills the space without feeling cluttered. ... - Adding different textures with your styling items gives depth. Think woven, wood, plants and books! - Move an item if it’s really not working. If you feel like you have to use something but it throws everything else off, take it out and re-evaluate!
