New COVID Restrictions Update Friday, April 23, 2021 Although we are in the midst of a circuit-breaking lockdown, we at Maritime Cremation Centre, are still here to serve you and our community throughout these uncertain times. Should you need our assistance, please call 902-252-6767. In adherence with Public Health Protocols, we will be asking screening questions upon entry, along with collecting contact tracing information. Funeral Services can be held with 5 family member...s. Funeral Receptions and Visitations are not permitted at this time. Should you require information or assistance with funeral pre-arrangements, please note that this can still be done, via phone and/or email. Travel from outside of Atlantic Canada is not permitted for attending funerals or services (such as a burial or celebration of life) and will only be considered under exceptional circumstances for visiting an immediate family member who is nearing end of life. Exceptional circumstance requests can be made by emailing: [email protected] Non-essential travel in and out of the Halifax Regional Municipality has been restricted for the next 4 weeks. An update on our Funeral Home COVID policies: As you are aware, our province continues to be in a State of Emergency. New restrictions have been implemented in HRM for the next two weeks and may be extended. We will be taking the following precautionary measures, effective immediately:... Our office doors are locked however we are still available to serve our community. If you need to meet with one of our directors, an appointment is required. Please call (902) 252-6767 for assistance. For families making arrangements, a maximum of 2 family members or a household of 5 people are permitted in the funeral home. Visitations and Funeral Services are by family invite only and are limited to a maximum of 5 attendees plus officiants. Masks are mandatory at all times both inside and outside of our facility while on funeral home property. Should you require information or assistance with Funeral Preplanning or Aftercare, please contact Teresa Lockwood, (902) 401-0759. These services can still be arranged over the phone or by email at any time. To minimize face to face contact Funeral arrangements can also be made over the phone and email. In addition, our website offers people the ability to arrange and purchase services from their homes. We will keep you up to date and informed of any changes to our policies.
