As many of you know, Django Reinhardt has been a huge influence in my approach to classic jazz. As you can see from this picture his fretting hand(left hand) was severely handicapped due to a fire when he was a young man. I thought I'd post this picture because many beginning guitarists tell me how hard it is to play the guitar. Django truly was one of the most incredible guitarists that ever lived and he did it with only 2 good fingers on his left hand. We are all faced with adversity in our lives.... it's what you do with it that makes all the difference. Keep positive and stay safe everyone.

I know it's been quite some time since I posted my last video. The summer has been keeping me quite busy. Please enjoy this video recording of "When You're Smiling" from a couple of weeks ago. https://youtu.be/lRmXlY8bSyA

I saw Tony Bennett live in Minneapolis in 2016 when he was he was 89-years-old, and it was amazing. This song was recorded 4 days ago by Mr. Bennett, and I am blown away. His artistry is beyond compare. https://youtu.be/JTdKZllVqpw

Robert Johnson was one of the greatest Delta Blues Musicians who ever lived. His haunting voice, driving blues guitar style and songwriting skills were legendary... so much so that it was rumored he sold his soul to the Devil at the crossroads to ensure his musical prowess. "Malted Milk" was recorded in 1937 and was re-popularized by Eric Clapton on his unplugged album in 1992. Please enjoy my twist on this classic blues tune.
