Went in to work today,and we have no water.Assuming it was a broken water main,I called Public Works.They told me that the construction next door had a broken pipe yesterday and asked the town to turn off the water.For some reason there is one shutoff for both buildings.They went by this morning to turn it back on,and were told they werent ready yet. This is not the first time weve been at the mercy of the construction next door,and probably wont be the last.They better get it turned on today

closed early today.Its a bit of a learning curve cooking on all new equipment.Would have been ok,but Becca went home sick(not the covid).If you were unhappy with your meal today,Im sorry.I was unhappy with a couple myself.Let me know,Ill make it up to you Love you all!

So excited! My new kitchen equipment has arrived and will be installed next weekend!We have had an old dinosaur of a grill/range with its burners that hardly work,ovens that dont work,grill that slopes the wrong way,pilot lights that go out etc.Im pretty sure the thing has been here since the building was built,and it takes up all the space under the exhaust hood. The new range has 6 burners so i can saute veggies make hollandaise and poach AT THE SAME TIME!! the grill is 36...in and heavy duty,and,most importantly,there is room for 2 full size deep fryers!No more lunchtime bottlenecks waiting for the oil to get back to temperature to cook all those fries! I have also ordered other deep fry treats like spring rolls and zucchini sticks for quick snacks and lunches. I will be able to make frybread and doughnuts and all kinds of things not possible before. See more

New kitchen equipment arriving Friday! Im so excited!!!

Glen Lyon restaurant closed due to computer problems.This means we are experiencing overload.Had to shut the kitchen long enough to clear the people who were improperly placed to wait for takeout.They should know that hanging out at the entrance is not acceptable.We have to comply with the distancing regulations or be shut down.Maybe I need a bouncer?

Had to close a little early today. Becca and I are doing our best to keep the place going,and for the most part people are appreciating the hard work we put in. There was the one guy who told us to kick someone out because we were at capacity,then said we were being paranoid.No....just following government regulations dude. Sometimes we get overwhelmed and tired.If we are not able to provide the best service or the best food then it is best to close.You deserve our best! I took the sign down for dinners.I am getting worn out,so until I get some help on a more permanent basis,I will have to limit the hours to 8am to 3pm Tuesday to Saturday.. So sorry,but it is what it is...crazy times

Update: No dinner service tonight,as we sold out of everything and there is not enough time to prep anything.I have to learn to use my time efficiently,but there is barely time to scrub the place down before 5.I hear that some of the bars have opened up for dining,so there are options out there.Support the businesses you want to see continue in your community. P.S. If you need any baked goods,especially ham n cheese buns it is best to preorder them.Most days this week I didnt get time to do a lot of stuff.If I make doughnuts,theres no cookies, and so on.Let me know what you need Love you all,people of the page <3

Wow,what a week! trying to get the place open for dining,we now have 5 tables,next week we will have 7...and there are 3 outside. More barriers to be built this weekend. We promised that we would start being open for dinners,but it hasnt been possible this week. Good news,Sean has finished his chemo,so no more trips to Campbell .... I also had to close early yesterday to pick up my son Charles,who is staying to help out this summer. As soon as its proven safe to do so,he will be doing delivery for us,we are still working out the details.We have no hand held machine so delivery will be cash or e-transfer. Today we reached capacity and had to turn some people away,im sorry about that,but we have to follow the guidelines and cannot have too many people in at once. Lots of big changes happening. The world shutting down for awhile gives us time to rethink and reinvent ourselves. Already we have adjusted our hours so we can better serve the community.Our order kiosk makes safe distancing possible,and seating is available once phase 2 begins. We have decided(Sean,Barb and I)to continue with Phase1.5.. When dining rooms open,we will still be restricting access to seating.Our regulars and seniors will be able to sit,and we are building a fa...mily room for larger groups to reserve.If you are a tourist,expect to be taking your food to go.Just because we can reopen doesnt mean we should.. The good news is the down time and the stimulus loan has made it possible to finally replace some of the worn out equipment and bring in full size fryers.This will improve efficiency in service and cost. When we feel it is safe to do so,we will have employees back. We need Becca on the team,but she has to protect her little ones. We are here to stay....and will be stronger than ever. Lots of work to do. We are starting small with breakfasts and a few lunches but will be able to offer burgers and beef dips next week. Setting up effective takeout in an otherwise self serve place is difficult .We have to redesign not just for now but for the changed landscape of dining for the next year at least. Building a quarantine safe zone inside so we can have our kids at work means freedom to stay open to feed whoever needs feeding. Ours has a piano, guitars ,micropho...nes ,karaoke ,Netflix ,saxophone ,spotify and an area for painting rocks and stuff. Im lucky I can stay isolated in my second home as well,and enjoy the kids as part of our quarantine gang We will be here most of the day tomorrow,and every Tuesday is our bread baking day See more
