Warkworth Market at the Mews 06.07.2021

Vendor Profile: Kylie of Sweeties Creations ... AND SOME EXCITING NEWS For the past four and a half years I have specialized in creating cakes for your special occasions. At Sweeties Creations I work with you to create the design you need for your special occasion.... A year and a half ago I moved to Warkworth and was fortunate enough to open my little shop on Main Street. Since then, not only was I still creating your special occasion cakes but I have expanded to create more items for the special seasonal occasions. Yes, the rumours are true and in the near future I will be expanding once more, I will be moving across the street and opening a fully functional bakery. At the Warkworth Farmers Market I will be bringing some of the items that I am thinking of selling at the Sweeties Creations bakery. I would love to have any feedback on the items I am bringing to the market or any items you may want to see at the bakery. I look forward to hearing from you.

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!! Warkworth Market at The Mews welcomes you all vendors and village people to 27 Main St from 12-3. Ahhh, how nice would it be if we could actually gather, shoulder to shoulder, like in this photo? Alas, we’re still in the middle of a pandemic, BUT, let’s look on the bright side, and be grateful that we can actually move forward with this market. We’ve missed you. We’ve missed Friday afternoons ... Safety has to be a priority, this year, and we will all have to follow some protocol... but we’re pros at that now, aren’t we? There will be signage at the entrance, but here are the Covid-19 safety protocols so that you are prepared: - The flow of traffic will be one-way, beginning at the front of the gazebo, and moving toward the back of The Mews. You will exit via the east side of Mews (in between the Mews and the Potter Block). There will be arrows to guide you. - We will have 3 hand sanitizer stations on site: one at the entrance, one in front of The Village Pantry, and one upon exiting. - Vendors will have hand sanitizer at their tables - please do not touch produce or other food items. You will be handed your items by vendors. - Food samples will not be permitted - Masks are mandatory for everyone on the premises. If a customer does not have a mask, they will not be permitted to enter the market, and we ask that they not be served. We will have disposable masks available for those that do not have one, and will provide each vendor with spare masks that they can offer customers who do not have their own. - Please do not block the flow of traffic, by gathering in groups along the path. Social distancing will be in effect. - If you will be eating on site, please use the back stairs (beside Weekender’s Vintage) and enjoy the green space and creek. Bring a blanket. Have a picnic. Catch up with friends and neighbours... but remain safe.

Vendor Profile: Tiffany Klein and family of Windy Hills Homestead Our family moved to Warkworth in 2016 and in 2018 we started building our homestead. We always knew we wanted to grow and raise our own food for our family. First came fruit trees, then gardens and chickens. And in 2020 as our dream of self sufficiency expanded , Windy Hills Homestead was created. We are still far from where we want to be, but we'll get there with a little hard work and determination. We are very excited to be joining Market at The Mews for our first time! We believe in raising our Chickens, Quail, and Ducks as ethically as possible, ensuring that they are living their best life possible. We will be bringing a variety of eggs, in season fruit and vegetables that is grown naturally using permaculture practices, plant starts and a variety of canned goods.
