Due to the restrictions ordered by the Ontario Government to reduce the spread of COVID-19, there have been a few questions regarding dentistry. We wanted to let everyone know that, YES, we are OPEN. Dentistry is an essential part of healthcare and we will continue to provide both preventive and restorative as well as emergency treatment. We will not be providing some elective services such as teeth whitening at this time. We are grateful to remain open as we know how impor...tant it is to stay on top of dental issues before they become major problems. Good oral health is directly related to good overall health. Please know that we are doing everything we can to ensure that we go above and beyond all of the recommended safety protocols to keep you, your loved ones, and our team healthy and safe. That is, and always will be our highest priority. Our strict protocols include: Advanced pre screening, using Hepa air filters, wearing advanced PPE, and limiting the number of people in the office by making virtual consultations available. Our offices have always been proud of being experts when it comes to asepsis and sterilizations protocols and it should be noted that there has been no evidence of COVID spread related to dental offices at this time. Should you have any questions, or wish to postpone or delay any upcoming appointments, please feel free to reach out. We completely understand that not everyone is comfortable receiving dental treatment at this time and we will do our best to accommodate all of your needs while making sure that you feel safe. Continuing to follow our enhanced safety guidelines, that we have had in place since June, will help to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. Underneath these layers of extra protection, rest assured that we are still the same, caring, attentive providers we have always been! Thank You for your trust during these uncertain times, Your Smile Centre https://youtu.be/CHUqoJ0Xorg

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON REOPENING Hello! As many of you may have seen or heard on the news yesterday, Ontario is allowing health-care providers including dentists to get back to work once health and safety guidelines are in place. There has been a lot of confusion surrounding what exactly this means for the dental field. ... Up until now, due to COVID19 pandemic restrictions, dentists have only been permitted to provide emergency dental treatment. Dental emergency treatment is restricted to basic procedures to relieve pain or infection. This means that we have been unable to provide any other type of dental procedures since mid-March. Now, we have been advised that we will be able to offer urgent & non- essential services, as well as emergency treatment. Dentists will be allowed to return to practice in stages, based on risks, and with the safety of our patients, our team members and our community as our number one priority. The next stage will involve more elective and preventive procedures. All our offices will be ready to provide the safest care possible. We are hoping to get the final go ahead by the end of the week and will let you know exactly when we can begin seeing you after that. Thank you for your patience and understanding. FAQ: What is the most likely timeline for reopening? We will be open for urgent & emergency care next week and starting June 8th for more non-essential services What procedures will we be able to do? Aside from treating dental emergencies we will be able to do: Extractions, fix broken fillings, root canal treatments, make night guards and anything else that is urgent. We are hoping to be able to do all procedures ASAP once we get guidance from the ministry of health and the RCDSO (Dental College) Will I be able to get my teeth cleaned and my regular recall exam (check up)? We are hoping to begin scheduling hygiene appointments by the middle of June As guidelines change this may be sooner or later How will you contact me for my next appointment? One of our team members will contact you to review your needs and schedule your appointment appropriately. We will be initially focussing on following up on emergency and urgent care. Please call, text or email us if you have a specific concern and we will respond ASAP. Do we have enough PPE? Absolutely! Our offices will be well equipped to keep you and our teams safe. We have been providing emergency care throughout the pandemic with appropriate PPE For anyone who may have missed our Patient Information Webinar last week, here is the link to the recording: https://youtu.be/OGniTtuw3n4 It is our goal to keep you updated and well informed.
