Thank you to Gabriel, the chef extraordinaire behind Buttered-Up: Cookies by Gabriel. Gabriel is a familiar face to us - he stops by every year to donate food he collects for his birthday. This year was different as Gabriel was not able to have his annual party so he came up with this great business idea. Gabriel was able to raise $150 from the cookies he sold. Thank you Gabriel!

The Markham Food Bank continues to be dedicated to providing emergency food supplies during the growing concerns of COVID-19. We have made changes to our current operations to protect our volunteers and the families accessing our services. Starting on Tuesday March 17th, we will only permit 1 client inside the front entrance. They will be asked to show their ID (with proof of Markham residency) and register their visit and then receive pre-packaged grocery items. At this tim...e, clients are no longer able to select their food items. We will continue to operate at regular business hours and service existing and new clients. Please note, we will only be providing items to people who live in the City of Markham We believe these changes will allow for us to continue to provide emergency food supplies to families in Markham and prevent the spread of COVID19 in our community. We thank you for your understanding during this time. We continue to welcome volunteers and donations will continue to be accepted at all existing locations. Financial donations can be made on our Canada Helps page: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/9826 Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email, messenger, or phone. Be well, Markham Food Bank

The Markham Music Festival is always the perfect way to kick off the summer season and we are so happy to see that this fantastic event will still continue during COVID19.
