I love driving my Triumph TR6 during winter with the top down. I put my merino wool under layers on and a nice warm jacket and hat and I’m off to the races! The fresh air is intoxicating and the car is noticeably faster in winter as the cold air is more dense. I’m very excited to be a part the REVS-Limiter Facebook Group’s Garagistas event tomorrow, the 28th November! The event runs all day and participants will be submitting 6 minute video clips on their classic car and classic transportation restorations and anything classic car/transportation related. I’m currently restoring my wife’s Karmann Ghia seats; I’ve stripped one seat down and will deal with some surface rust issues. Then they are off to the upholsterers tomorrow! I have just completed a commission for a client living in Germany; a beautiful Bentley 4 1/2 litre Le Mans. It was an honour and privilege to do this painting and I enjoyed every moment of it. I loved depicting the movement and sensation of speed and I love the fact that it is a thoroughly used and enjoyed old Bentley. I actually met the owner in San Pedro de Atacama in the Atacama desert; the driest place on earth, when he was competing/participating in a historic rally (Rally of the Incas). My wife and I were on a 4 month South America trip (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Colombia) and he graciously allowed us to sit in it for photos. It is now packaged up and ready to be sent. The most important thing is that my client has seen the image and loves it!

This was the first classic car painting I attempted after transitioning from my India paintings, where my artwork started. This is a Plymouth Valiant (probably early 60’s) sat abandoned in a farmers field; it may still be sat in the same spot!
