I am not sure I have ever specifically targeted the International Space Station (ISS) for one of my images, but I happened to notice it tracking though my star trail. After confirming that is was the ISS I decided I take those 5 shots and create an image of the space station moving across my composition. This picture was taken in Deep Cove, Nova Scotia.

This is a composite image. I went out searching for the full moon on Friday evening and there turned out to be some low level haze / clouds that make my initial idea not work. I was in Cow Bay looking toward Lawrencetown beach. The beach was around 3 miles away which worked out well because I was testing an 800mm lens with a 1.4x teleconverter on it. Both images (forground and moon) were taken within 15 minutes of each other. . .

For a couple of weeks of the year, the sun rises directly up the Northwest Arm in Halifax. This picture was taken at Horseshoe Island Park and includes the Dingle Tower located at Sir Sandford Fleming Park. In typical Nova Scotia style, clouds are hiding the rise of the sun but they create a warm glow across the sky. The water was calm with helped to add some reflections. . . . .... . #canadiandestinations #canoncanada #capturenovascotia #dingletower #discoverhalifax #discovernovascotia #eosr #explorehalifax #findmeoutside #halifax #halifaxarchitecture #halifaxdingletower #halifaxforyou #halifaxisawesome #halifaxnoise #halifaxparks #halifaxphotographers #haligonia #igers_novascotia #lovethisprovince #lovewhereyoulive #maritimes #oh_canada_ #rediscovernovascotia #sharecangeo #thedingle #visitnovascotia #welovenovascotia #wintersolstice See more

This is a great time of year to get outside and enjoy nature. With the leaves gone for the winter, it is much easier to see wild birds when you go out for a walk. Miner's Marsh in Kentville is a great place to get some fresh air, exercise, and also see some cool birds. The male Northern Cardinal loves to hide in the bushes but I managed to get a clear view of his face. . .

Bald eagles are amazing birds. We are luckily here in Nova Scotia to be able to see large groups of eagles. This was my first outing with some new equipment and I am very happy with the result. . . . .... . #baldeagle #birds_perfection #canadiandestinations #canning #canoncanada #discovernovascotia #eagles #enjoycanada #eosr5 #explorenovascotia #eye_spy_birds #feather_perfection #ig_birds_of_prey #igers_novascotia #lovethisprovince #natgeo #novascotia #nuts_about_birds #oh_canada #raw_birds #rf800mmf11 #sharecangeo #sheffieldmills #shootcanon #visitnovascotia #wildanimals #wildbirdphotography #wildlife #wildlifephotography See more
