Hi everyone! Below is a quick summary of today's general meeting in case you missed it. Introduction: Thank you for your interest in Markville's HOSA Chapter! Through joining, you will be an official member of HOSA Canada for the 2016-17 school year, and have an opportunity to compete for the Spring Leadership Conference. Competitive Events: HOSA offers 3 categories of events... Oral e.g. Prepared speech Written e.g. Dental terminology Practical e.g. CPR Some events may be a mix of respective categories (may have a practical component in addition to a written component) Membership Pricing and Materials: $90 Fee Total ($35 Membership Fee + $50 Leadership Conference Fee + $5 for inflation) *For a more detailed breakdown, feel free to contact one of our executive members Certain practical event materials have been supplied, if there are practice materials unavailable to us that are required for particular events, we will make the necessary arrangements. Cash Online: We will exclusively accept payments through cash online for the 2016-2017 year. Cash online is convenient, safe, efficient, and accepts a variety of payment options. It should be set up by next week. Paperwork: After paying all necessary fees through cash online, (will be open next week) members MUST print their receipt and record their receipt number before advancing to the next stages of registration. After paying, an email will be sent out with a link to the registration form. You will need to record your receipt number and specify which event you will be competing in. (We will give members approximately 2 weeks to decide the event they will be competing in, details regarding individual events are available on the hosa canada webpage) Eventually, members will also be required to fill out a transportation waiver and sign a school absence form. Apparel: We will be offering embroidered Markville HOSA hoodies to interested members. Details are still to be determined. Stay Connected!
