Facts - My editing style is bright and cheerful. While I will always remove flakey skin, blemishes etc, I don't love altering images to the point that they look photoshopped. Let's keep things real :) I've been doing this professionally for 6 years now however, I took an almost 2-year break in there due to our move back to the coast. I take a photography course every single day! How images are viewed is obviously a personal preference, but I like to keep up to date on my photography education. I work in the office Monday to Friday. I shoot sessions all week and on weekends however, I am never at my desk on Saturday and Sunday. I have A LOT of props. Life works in mysterious ways. Today, on my personal Facebook page, Rufuss ( who we very sadly had to say goodbye to two weeks ago today, due to cancer) popped up in my feed. I captured all these images, ( during the early years of my photography business) and am so very thankful I did. I remember trying to capture and take in every detail I could of him. I was working on some specific photography skills at the time with the snow and light at play. I am going to frame thes...e this week and have a memory wall so we can look at him every day. Take the pictures, or without sounding to sales pitchy, have the pictures taken. Trust me, you will never regret it.

It’s back to the regular routine for us tomorrow and we cannot wait! Bring on the engagements, expecting mammas, new babies, sitter sessions, cake smashes and family sessions ( with a bit of glitter and mini magic in the mix - the image below is a hint of what’s being posted soon)! On day 5 of our Focus on Kindness, I’m asking you to drop off a non-perishable food donation to your local food bank or grocery store. Did you know the Greater Vancouver Food Bank was set up as a temporary relief to the hunger crisis in 1983? The need still exists today, and since they receive no ongoing government funding, they exist thanks to the generosity of the public, industry partners, and grants. Each week they provide healthy food to over 8,500+ clients in need, and approximately 80 community partners across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore.
