Maroon Pig-Happy 2021. Well, looks like we made it! Our family at the Maroon Pig Art Gallery & Sweet Shop want to express our heartfelt gratitude and thank our loyal customers for their continued support in salvaging what could have been a disastrous year for our small business. We look forward to a more normalized 2021 where we'll continue to do what we do best-offer fresh, local baked goods, lunches and catering. Maroon Pig-Saturday morning smells great at the Maroon Pig, just took the lemony snicket squares out of the oven, the bread is rising in the bread pans, so are the variety of cinnamon rolls sitting on top of the warm stovetop, two brownies on on the cooling rack. We wake to bake....with the hope that you wake to eat what we bake LOL Open Sat 10-5.

The inability of the Three Rivers CAO, Mayor and some Councillors to recognize the importance of an integral cultural organization in Eastern PEI is a failure of leadership and vision. It is an ongoing problem in a community with a ballooning bureaucracy and no direction. I urge other communities to learn the lessons of amalgamation-it doesn't work. I also heard that they are looking at closing community halls. Ummmm...what were those promised benefits.....silence....crickets....exit stage left.....

NEW PROPOSED WARD SYSTEM-(OR FORGET THAT LAST ONE)-The Electoral Boundaries Commission Report has revised the proposed boundaries in light of the public outcry to better reflect the true nature of the Thee Rivers Region. Although we will not be soliciting public input, we feel that this will meet residents objections. Feel free to comment below, we promise not to read these comments either.
