What a night! Yesterday, Marpole Community Toastmasters Club was honoured to have Aaron Pierce, champion evaluator in last year international contest, to provide a thorough and empowering workshop on Evaluation to speeches. Thanks everyone for attending! Kudos to Raj and many others who have made this happen!
This week's meeting theme will be Spring. Let’s talk about what spring means to us, and feel free to expand the topic to art and your reflection on life!
Our next meeting will be our Area B20 Contest where you will see some of our most experienced speakers and hear the stories behind their speeches. The area contest will be in three parts: Speech Contest, Evaluation Contest, and Table Topic (Impromptu Speech) Contest. The winners of the contest will advance to the Division level, and if successful, they may compete in the Toastmaster International World Championship of Public Speaking Contest!... The contest will be held virtually on Zoom. The zoom link will be available when you register for this event. Feel free to come and join us!!
