Ok folks, it is not often I get head over heals over a restaurant but oh my @eatatelma on Lakeahore Drive in Penticton is simply delicious. The food is Turkish influenced and it is fresh, inventive and down right tasty. The server knew her products and when I spoke to the sous chef she told me all products are locally source. Thhe cocktail list is amazing. #Elma has been well thought out and executed.... This is the inventive food that one finds Europe. Very impressed This is the best restaurant I have been to all year. Just go.

One of the things I love about this business is the people you get to meet and work with and the good they do in the community. Three years ago a friend of mine suggested I attend a harvest dinner at David Thompson high school, quite frankly I did not what to expect. When I arrived I found a cooling tunnel of trees and beneath it was a long table set for 150 people. I then looked to the south and one of the playing fields was taken up by planters. Growing in them were all sor...ts of fruits and vegetables. Turns out the students tend the garden, help prepare and serve the food. For many of them it is there first time not only serving but interfacing with the public. The fresh veggies and fruits are also sold on Wednesdays market at the Italian Cultural Centre I thought to myself pretty cool as this teaches kinds all sorts of valuable life lessons. I was so impressed with the passion and professionalism of #AlexaPitoulis and & #CarolineManuel that last year and this year we sponsored the wine for the dinner. I was looking forward in attending the dinner again this year but we all know why this is not possible. Have no fear the smart and resilient crew have put together a virtual dinner.
