When we say a shingle has a Class 4 impact rating, it means it has been tested to withstand 2 hail. This is a picture of the machine that simulates that testing process at HAAG Engineering in Dallas, Texas. Very cool! A lot of insurance companies will give you a discount on your hail insurance if you install a shingle that has a class 4 impact rating. All questions are welcome!
