Self love yuck! For years I’ve been vocal about my disdain for self love as a journey we strive to get right and always feel bad about needing to do better. Yuck!... But this year some new, gentler (thank goodness) ideas have started to get in. Self love is natural. We are born experts. Exuding and soaking in love, being adored & cared for. And freely handing it out with Hi’s and smiles and trust. This week I was holding my sweet baby thinking if I could just infuse her with this Big love I have for her, she’d be set for life. Then I thought, but almost every caregiver has probably done the same & we still end up journeying back to reconnect with the self love we came into the world with. Crap, so it IS about the love we have for ourselves. It’s not about how much love is sent our way. It’s about self love. Our capacity to send, receive and experience love. When nothing is certain, anything is possible. As a huge fan of certainty this is a total breath of fresh air. This has been a crazy kooky year filled with anything but. Yet, I’ve felt super settled and taken care of, with a deep knowing that we are moving to a better world. There is magic in the darkness.
