Happy July everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their first few weeks of summer. Thanks again to our neighbours, the RM and Warman. You may have noticed the ...fresh asphalt now located on Main Street through to Warman. Certainly a great improvement! Tonight’s committee of the Whole meeting has a full agenda. North Prairie homes will begin the meeting with a presentation on their proposed West Sector Plan. This plan is at the highest level of planning within the city. It is for a large area (671 acres) on the west side of the highway. At complete buildup, the neighbourhood could be home to 11,000 people. The plan paints the neighbourhood with broad brushstrokes identifying key neighbourhood components. Things like major roadways, servicing and infrastructure requirements and potential new school locations. The densities and specifics of the neighbourhood come at the next level of planning, the concept plan stage. The final stage is the actual subdivision of lots. So all though there is still a lot of work to do before you will see a house, this is a first and critical milestone in their project. At the opposite end of the planning process is a request by North Ridge. They are seeking a subdivision of two parcels of land near the new schools in Lake Vista. Both lots are already zoned for high density, the request is to now subdivide and develop into 9 high density properties. To give you a sense of timing, the concept plan for Lake Vista was approved back in 2013 vs the sector plan request at tonight’s meeting. Great Plains College has expanded their programming into the civic centre and are now looking to expand again and extend their lease. They are looking at adding additional space for office and admin space. They would also like to have the option to renew their lease on an ongoing basis. The final item up for discussion is a request by CanAlta Real Estate Services. They own three separate properties in the city and are requesting a reduction in their property taxes by 10% in light of the impacts of Covid-19. This would equal $4733.63. And that about sums it up. Have a great week everyone. Stay safe!

**COVID-19** VSA has been encouraged by SSA to continue to plan for the 2020 Outdoor Season and are following the guidelines set out by Saskatchewan Soccer and the Provincial & Federal Governments. MSA will keep everyone updated as we hear things. MSA has been busy with info and guidelines from Canada Soccer (CSA), Sask Soccer (SSA) and also Valley Soccer (VSA). We will meet as a board this Thursday evening to talk about all info given as a whole. Please allow us time to work on the details of the season plans. PLEASE also note we are governed by CSA, SSA, and VSA. This program isn't part of the City of Martensville programs. Thanks so much MSA Families!!!!!
