Thank you to all my students and families. 2020 has been an odd year that is for sure. I love what I do and I couldn't do it without you. Unfortunately government guidelines are making January yet another difficult month. Please let me know if you want to move your lessons to Zoom. Remember to play over the holidays lots! I've had some questions about how I am running things this year and how I am keeping everyone safe. Great questions really. So I have been block scheduling lessons. Which means I have 2 blocks each night. 1 before dinner and 1 after dinner with an hour between for me to clean and eat. If you are in the same household you can share a block. Everyone wears a mask and I have hand sanitizer. I also have shields I will occasionally wear (with my mask) depending on the proxi...mity I need to be to the student. There is no bathroom for students this year. I also do not use note books, I have a clipboard with a single sheet of paper on it. When your lesson is done I will take a picture and either email or text it so you have it at home. I'm not sharing my personal books this year either. Like always, I ask you not to arrive to your lesson with symptoms of being sick (this is not new) and to try to give me as much notice as you can if you can't make it. I am looking at Piano lessons returning in September. Violin, and Wind students I am looking at zoom lessons, I am also open to teach piano this way. In person lessons would still be here in my house. I have reworked my day job so I am only exposed to 1 school setting and not several. My children are not returning to school in September as we are looking to delay their return. There would be new rules similar to those in schools. Face masks would be mandatory, there wou...ld be 15 minutes between scheduled lessons for cleaning (unless students are in the same family household), there would be no use of a bathroom and I would be unable to offer water to drink. This is just the tip of the iceberg. It is imperative that we keep my daughter safe as she is high risk. Lesson payments would need to be received prior to lessons (as always) but I am willing to switch to a weekly payment given the uncertain times. I will be going cashless and would ask for e-mail money transfer. Thank you all for your patience. There are a few of you I still owe some lessons from March so it's just a matter of choosing a day and time that works for us all. I would like to keep lessons same days and times as last year if possible, once I hear from prior students I will be looking to fill any spots come October with new students. Just an update for you all! I know things are starting to loosen a bit and as much as we appreciate a tad more freedom I do have a child who is considered immune deficient and is a high risk. I love you all and I miss you very very much but I am not rushing to open the studio back up. I am doing some experimenting with how to run lessons online. The bottom line is I strive and succeed at teaching top quality music instruction and I don't want to ever give anything but the best instruction. Thank you for your patience.

Good morning students and families. I wanted to let you know I am continuing lessons as normal over the next few weeks. Given that my studio is small and only open 3 days a week it give me ample time to clean between. I do ask that if you or someone in your family is potentially sick please let me know and we can reschedule or credit you for the lesson. I will give you the same courtesy. So basically nothing that we are not doing already. I will not be taking on any new students until this situation is resolved. If you are uncomfortable with this whole situation and wish to stop lessons at any time please feel free to send me a message :) Happy extra practice time!
