Welcome to our newest lawyer, Alisa Koebel! Alisa grew up in Vancouver and graduated from UBC first in her class with a BSc in Global Resource Systems. She then earned her JD at UBC's Allard Law School. Alisa is now leaving the big city to move to Vernon. She will be practicing personal injury/ICBC at Martin Estate where she will be honing her civil litigation skills. We will have some snow for her this week!

A warm welcome to our newest lawyer, Leah McKenzie-Brown! Leah is an experienced lawyer who has been both a solicitor and a litigator. She previously had her own busy law firm in Lake Country. While there, she was a mentor to Melody in starting Martin Estate and Injury Law in the Vernon head office. After a couple of years practicing strata and other business law from Nanaimo and Vancouver, Leah is now working with Martin Estate, while she will also be continuing a separate practice in strata law. We are delighted to have Leah join us, knowing that her skill and experience will be great assets to us. (She will also be someone our lone solicitor, Zach Pashley, can talk with, and they will understand one another!)

Hot Off The Press! The May 2020 real estate statistics are now in. Of course due to Covid there has been much pent up demand as our usually busy Spring listi...ngs were all delayed or held off. Residential sales across the region (Revelstoke to Peachland) increased 95% totaling 446 units sold in May compared to April's 299 units, yet remained down 42% from this time last year. New residential listings also saw an uptick totaling 1,198, an increase of 49% compared to April 2020 new listings (as Sellers were reluctant to put their homes on the market with COVID shutdowns). Overall active listings increased 9% over April's inventory of 3,467 yet remained 16% lower than April 2019's inventory of 4,490.
