Remembering the things we are grateful for and giving thanks for those things....

Right in the Middle! Between German Erntedank and Canadian Thanksgiving I find myself grateful for: Congregation members, friends and partners, church council, corona care caller, group leaders, our ministry team, and Marlena, the Angel in our church office. Letters, Care packages printed, packed and mailed, telephone calls, distance visits, refugee support, updating and beautifying our website, all that I am grateful for. Grateful for content and translations, the person who... had the virtual summer camp idea and the contributors to the online experience. Sunday Funday, Fab Friday, confirmation classes and confirmation, wedding celebration. I am grateful for the support for families who have lost a loved one, for church deco, bible study, open doors whenever possible. Maintenance and Repair, mask making and distribution, summer students and interns, financial help from organizations and individuals, dinner church, zoom meetings, zoom greetings. zoom coffee time, on-line and live services, day care opening and running, care takers and cleaners, graphic designs, virtual prayer group, writing of checks, staying on top of finances and banking, pastoral search and updates, music and recording. On September 12, our former Pastor Christian Ceconi was officially installed in his position at the Berliner Stadtmission. We offer our congratulations! Our former vicars, Pastors Mirjam Steinebach, Caroline Raddatz and Catharina Klein also participated in the outdoor service. All the best to our extended church family in Germany.

Soon our altar will be decorated for Thanksgiving again. Whether or not you can come to church this time of year, you can help with our food drive. Please donate non-perishable food items or money to provide food for the hungry. Please call the office to learn more about our food ministry partners and projects.
