Thus for u Mike...that's how u frame my cottage roofs..no ceiling roof is cut structurally to hold the gazebo together when u put weight on the roof..even when standing on top putting the shingles on there was no problem in my weight plus the 10 bundles of shingles..so there u have it might...CHECK THE RAFTERS PLACEMENT ON THE BEAMS....

Well on to the second project which is the house right behind the house that I just finished the gazebo...cool
