This year would have marked the 9th annual Dig for the Cure game held by the Martlets volleyball team in support of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation. We may not be able to be on the court for a game this year, but we are motivated to support the cause nonetheless. We are selling both cacti and succulents in the Montreal area from now until February 10th. Not in Montreal? Don’t want a plant? Don’t worry, you can still donate! Simply click the option to ‘make a donation with...out buying a plant’ on our Google Form To contribute, visit the Google Form docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSd-G3-WToyBOgHYd-UeedD0R/viewform! Payment will be done through e-Transfer. Thank you for the support

We had a lot of graduating players this year. Here is what Elisabeth had to say about the volleyball program and her journey with the team. . When I decided t...o go to McGill and become a Martlet I had no idea how life changing this experience would be. From being completely lost in the city of Montreal with a broken English, I can now find my way to a metro station near me in record time with my cute French accent! The past four years have gone by so fast (this is cliché, but I SWEAR they did). I’m going to miss my teammates, the coaching staff, the physios (with whom I spent way too much time with), the trainers, and all of our varsity supporters. Each of you have inspired me to push myself to work hard every day and to become a better player and person. Through the biggest wins and the most heartbreaking injuries, I want to say thank you to everyone who supported and believed in me. I know I now have the tools to take on new challenges and I am grateful for all the life lessons being a Martlet has taught me. . Thank you Elisabeth for being part of the bird gang. We love you. #mcgillalumni #mcgillproud #wearemcgill @ McGill Athletics See more
Now it’s time for our graduating Martlet Rowan Fletcher (2016-2020) to write nice words about our volleyball program and her journey with the team. . Being a... McGill Martlet and being a part of this program has been an impactful experience. There is no other feeling like playing alongside so many amazing women everyday. Together we learned to thrive in pressure filled moments and work through some more difficult ones. Being surrounded by such positive and different women, being able to forget about everything else and just play, representing McGill, these are all things that I will miss so much. I will never forget the memories we made together and what I learned from my coaches and every teammate I had in this program. Thank you Rachele, Vero, Andre, Ashley, Sandra, the McGill Athletics staff, my family and of course, my team. I love you! . Thank you Rowan for being part of the bird gang. We love you. #mcgillalumni #mcgillproud #wearemcgill @ McGill Athletics See more

Our graduating Martlet Christina Piccinin (2017-2020) shares some words about the McGill volleyball program and her journey with the team. . My time as a mart...let has been a huge part of my university career and is a part of my life that I will cherish forever. Joining the team was not a straight forward path for me, but nonetheless the girls welcomed me with open arms, and over the past few years have become my second family. These girls have gotten me through long bus rides, late nights and 7am lifts and I’m grateful to have gone through it all together. I am so proud to be a martlet and As I move on from McGill I’ll continue to love and cheer on my birdies. . Thank you Christina for being part of the bird gang.
