Since 2013 (2012 if you count the mom and baby days).... 3. Current goals? To train strength three times a week on the regular again and get my chin-ups back up to 10 reps. 4. Favourite thing you do with your body here? Turkish get ups, kettle bell swings are my faves (especially swing letters). Lately though my body really craves structural mobility. I love the mix of work in these classes. They are so humbling and illuminating all at once! Get my chin-ups back consistently, pistol squats to the floor, 20 push-ups. 4. Favourite thing you do with your body here? I like pressing! So clean & press, military press, chest press, TGU.... Running a hybrid model is keeping things really busy these days, so I’m relying heavily on the online sessions to keep me strong! 2. How long have you been training with Marx Conditioning? I started this business 13 years ago! I opened my first gym in 2012, and moved to my current location in 2016.... 3. Current goals? 10 chin-ups. These ebb and flow depending on how much I’m training. But I’d like to get comfortable with ten. 4. Favourite thing you do with your body here? I love teaching structural mobility sessions! Learning to prioritize rotational movement at my hips and shoulders has been so eye opening. Shout out to #functionalrangeconditioning for that. Still here. It’s been six months since the whole world changed. And three months since I reopened the gym. And I need to say thank you for making it this far. Thank you to my loyal clients, who have stuck with me through this. Thank you to my landlord, who has been supportive. Thank you to my family for dealing with the highs and lows as I navigate business in a new way.... Still here. We are officially OPEN for in-person training. Things have changed, but we are happy to be back at it! We've had two weeks with our loyal clients testing the waters and fine tuning our systems. The last six weeks have reminded me of how passionate I am about I do. Building the whole athlete has always been the most satisfying aspect of coaching. And we are all athletes. Working closely with my clients on all aspects through my online membership - strength, mobility, nutrition - has definitely been the #silverlining.... Marx Athletes - you are killing it! Everytime I see your face on Zoom, or read your post in our Facebook group, or review your nutrition log - know that you give me THE MOST job satisfaction I could hope for. These are strange times, but taking such good care of yourselves on every level will help. Keep showing up. And I’ll see you there! M.
