Wishing I had a before photo of these verrucas (warts) that had been present for 10 YEARS! Needling is a procedure that introduces the wart virus into the body so that the body can make antibodies to fight off the wart on its own. No daily application of creams, no painful liquid nitrogen treatments, just a one-time minor procedure At the 8 week post-op follow up appointment, there is no sign of warty tissue. There is, however hard skin or hyperkeratosis present that ...can be conservatively debrided and will resolve with time. Tips coming your way for the month of May (foot health month!!!!) Why dont I recommend medicated corn pads? Medicated corn pads CAN help soften hard painful corns but the corn is there for a reason and that is PRESSURE! Youre better off to get the corn removed by a professional and use an offloading non-medicated corn pad or ask your chiropodist how to prevent it from recurring. ... If you have diabetes it is actually contra-indicated to use medicated corn pads as they can cause more skin breakdown than intended and leave you with a nasty wound As always, DM me with your questions!

Its officially foot health month. Lets talk about your feet! Plantar warts are a common complaint I see in the office and there are countless ways to treat them. If one treatment worked every single time every doctor and chiropodist would be using it. Unfortunately that is not the case. There are varying degrees of success with treatment options. Topical options range from 30-70% success rate. Surgical interventions are higher; around 90%. Consult your chiropodist for the best way to treat yours! Im always open to chat!
